Copyright and Trade Secret Theft

Recently another company selling skincare products on the internet hijacked information from our web site including text, ingredient lists, and photographs of our products. They did so by simply copying and pasting our website information into their site without out knowledge or permission.

By copying our material they were implying to the general public that they were making or selling products that were of the same quality and exact formulation as our products. This was very misleading to the visitors of their site and caused our company harm.

Another competitor engaged in using one of our registered trademarks on their website and in meta-tags to fool search engines and consumers into believing they were finding our product, only to be sold a cheap imitation.

Our legal counsel is persuing all legal remedys against these companies for copyright and trademark infringements.

We mention this only to alert you that we are always vigilant and we will vigorously protect our copyrights, trade secrets and other valuable company information. Unauthorized use of our trademarks or copyrighted images is a violation of copyright and trademark laws, and we will work to protect them.

Web Designers, Marketing Companies, and Graphics Artists
If you are designing a website, providing marketing assistance, or graphic design for one of our clients you must contact us directly if you are planning to use any information from our website including, but not limited to photos, ingredients, glossary, text, product descriptions, testamonials, etc). You must receive prior written approval directly from our company (not our client) prior to copying any information from our site for your use.

Reverse Engineering
We are against reverse engineering (attempted duplication of formulas owned by others). It is theft, pure and simple. We will prosecute anyone who attempts to reverse engineer or duplicate our products or designs.

 

Our Formulas
All product formulas owned by MBMA Corporation proprietary to our company. You are not allowed to ask other manufacturers to produce, copy, or reverse engineer our products to achieve products similar to ours. If we manufacture custom formulas for a client we own all rights to those formulas unless release is specified in writing and signed by the officers of MBMA Corporation. This written specification will clearly and specifically outline under what conditions the formulations may become the property of the client. If you design your own labels you must comply with all federal, state, and local labeling and packaging regulations as they pertain to your product. We will not be responsible for validating that your label design complies with all laws and regulations.

Our Designs
All B.Hickman canine art designs are owned and copyrighted by MBMA Corporation, and are proprietary to our company. You are not allowed to ask other manufacturers to produce, copy, or reverse engineer our designs to achieve products similar to ours, unless you have our written authorization. If we manufacture custom designs for a client we own all rights to those designs unless release is specified in writing and signed by the officers of MBMA Corporation. This written specification will clearly and specifically outline under what conditions the designs may become the property of the client.
